Independence Hall in Philadelphia

Walk in the footsteps of the Founding Fathers to see where the birth of American democracy took place. This 18 century building is an important icon of US history. It was within these walls that the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed. Take a tour led by a National Park Ranger to get a glimpse into the historic times of 1776 that shaped our country forever. See items like the original inkstand that held the priceless documents and George Washington's "rising sun" chair.

  • Do I need tickets?

    Tickets are not required in January and February. However, from March to December you must have a ticket to take a guided tour. Walk-up tickets are free, but you can also reserve tickets for $1.50. During the high season, it is a good idea to go early if you want to get a walk-up tickets, because they can sell out for the day.
  • Is photography allowed inside?

    Yes, photography is allowed during the tour. Feel free to bring your camera and capture your very own shots of American history up close.
